Morning Ladies

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I've been crazy busy running after a crawling toddler...he doesn't sit still for a second always on the go crawling from room to room...scratches in anything he can find lol so cute but so tiring....Blaze started standing against furniture this week yay....he use to only pull himself up onto his knees but know pulls himself up standing and even took a few steps holding onto our bed PROUDMOMMY!!

I know this is a week late but Happy Valentine's Day..hope you all had a great day with your loved ones..I know I did..got surprised with beautiful red and white roses and had a delicious pizza feast for lunch..spent the day with my two guys and was later invited for a chilled supper braai at my parents house..perfect day spent with amazing people

Smash Cake Photoshoot

Hi guys
Sorry for the late post but was a hectic day yesterday and blaze has been driving me insane for the last two nights waking up at two in the morning thinking it's time to get up...so I'm exhausted. Edited most of the pics and made his birthday invites..so finally got the time today to relax and update you guys on the smash cake shoot.

I wanted to do the smash cake outdoors I've seen a lot of mothers doing it indoors with a white background. I thought grass and trees would look so much more vibrant and beautiful in pictures.

Took him to a park around the corner from my parents house and literally just put him down on the grass with his cake and started taking pics. He didn't smash the cake like I thought he would and he actually didn't like the feeling of the icing on his hands lol. He constantly rubbed his fingertips together and stared at it. But still managed to get great pics and he looked so adorable with his little bow tie.

Smash Cake

Hi Guys So I made my first smash cake today....and it literally took me half a day lol! Even though I bought cake mix in a box it still took me hours to make..but I must say it turned out pretty damn amazing and I'm kind of dreading having it smashed and destroyed by my little man.

I used Pillsbury funfetti cake mix and made my own icing with butter, icing sugar, milk and a few drops of food colouring (blue). Everything else on the cake was bought at plastic for africa.

I decorated it really simple..just a few sprinkels, candles, and a number one..I iced it really smooth no piping bag..the cake has two layers and a blue icing filling.

Sunday

Hi guys

so we had a really chilled weekend of DIY projects, park fun and great food!! Our plan was to spend sunday at the beach but it was so crowded couldn't even find a parking..so decided to take the little man to the park..and of course I had my camera ready.

It was such a beautiful day and perfect weather. There was no way i was going to spend the day indoors.Blaze had a ton of fun and even though he had swings and slides to play on he enjoyed chilling on the grass the most lol.

After a fun afternoon at the park we got home I made a delish lunch and chilled for the rest of the evening with my little fam..hope you guys had an awesome weekend and enjoy the week ahead.

Weekend DIY

Hi guys
Saterday:
Started my weekend off with some DIY...as you know I love Diy and chalkboards so decided to make a few chalkboards with things I had lying around the house collecting dust...took an old marilyn monroe room divider that has been packed away in my cupboard for a few months and turned it into a huge chalkboard..the divider had water damage and the picture was very smudged so it was perfect for a diy project. Still haven't decided if I'm keeping it in the living room or putting it in the baby room..it will look great in both rooms so I'll see.
I also made an chalkboard out of an old wooden board that I will be using for Blaze's birthday smash cake photo shoot..chalkboard paint is an easy and cheap way to revamp any old thing and make it awesome. I used the brand MODO and it dries within 30 min.

Of course I had to add some fairy lights

Bubble Fun

This is how I love spending my friday evenings..having some fun with my cutie pie. Seeing him giggle and laugh straight from his belly with joy and excitement makes me the happiest mommy in the world♡

Weekly Round up

Hi guys
So I was planning on doing a weekly round up blog post every week but my little guy has been sick so didn't get down to doing it...Friday night it started with a fever and alot of tossing and turning..thought maybe he was teething so gave him something for pain and fever...next morning he was perfectly fine...but Saturday night it started again so took him to the doc and he just has a virus/bug and his body will work it out in the next two days been giving him meds to keep his temp down..He's doing alot better and should be fine by tomorrow.

Sick but still such a happy little boy♡

Last week was a scorcher of a week in Cape Town...spent most of the week just lazing at the pool and swimming with my little man..Blaze loves swimming he is a real little water baby and could spend hours in the pool if he could...Saturday we decided to go look at some party supply stores for the big party the end of the month..found the perfect shop just around the corner from us...sells everything I've been looking for...mason jars, twirly straws, cake decorations, huge dinosaur cookie cutters, balloons...my new fave shop!!

Sunday we spent the day with my parents..went to the flea market got Blaze the cutest little walking barking dog...afterwards we took a relaxing stroll on the beach and had a delicious braai for lunch at my parents house.

Chicken..bacon & cheese sausage
garlic & pizza bread..potato salad(my fave)..coleslaw
